Alexandra Sklar is a designer, product developer and art director residing in the rolling foothills of santa cruz, california.

She holds a M.Arch from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.

in 2013, she founded retail strategy agency merchant home. she recently began producing a line of modern housewares under the moniker, inspired by her background in architecture and interest in modular forms.
